Ramadan Food Packages  Every year in Ramadan and with the help from our donors and Partners on the ground, IRFAN-Canada distributes Food Packages to the needy children and their families in nine (9) different countries around the world including Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Guyana, Sudan (Eritrean Refugees), and Sierra Leone. The package contains basic food staples, oil, flour, butter, rice, dates, etc.During Eid Al-Fitr, children are presented with toys and gifts and entertainment programs are held to bring to them joy and happiness. Donate Now Project Status: Annually. Completed for '09. School Bag Project  IRFAN-Canada distributes at the beginning of each school year well over 6,000 school bags with the essential stationery to the children in The West Bank and Gaza Strip. A large number of the children may be already sponsored as orphans and thus their needs for clothes, food and shelter are also covered.Your donation of sixty dollars (C$60) per year will help to cover the child school expenses. Donate Now Project Status: Annually. Completed for '09. Gaza Appeal Our thanks extend to our donors who have shown an enormous amount of generosity and support for our Gaza Appeal. Together, we succeeded in providing emergency relief
for the needy people of Gaza during the attacks and continue to provide
aid until this day. Thankfully, as an Ard El Insan relief worker said,
IRFAN-Canada's aid was "the first of its kind to enter the Gaza Strip". IRFAN-Canada's Emergency Relief Work covered 2 phases so far: Phase 1: 23
shipments of desperately needed products including food aid, hygiene
kits, diapers, blankets, and mattresses were distributed to the
refugees that were seeking sanctuary in UNRWA schools. Phase 2: 4
shipments of food packages containing the most needed supplies such as
flour, canned foods, and water were distributed to needy families by
IRFAN-Canada and Ard El Insan relief workers. IRFAN-Canada is continuing its support by providing additional food aid, blankets, new clothing and shoes,
hygiene supplies, and medical equipment and supplies. In addition, it has increased its orphan and student sponsorships as
well as health care, educational, community development and
