Okcular-Turkey Emergency Appeal

A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck Okcular Village, a remote part of Eastern Anatolia in Turkey, on Monday March 8, causing death and destruction. The earthquake struck the high steppe area that mainly consists of mud-brick houses and was followed by more than 40 aftershocks, the strongest of which had a magnitude of 5.5.
